Where to start…

This is David Hainlin’s weblog for his company, Intraspective Corporation.

One of the central (and successful) concepts I’ve applied in my 28 year career is to foster open and transparent team communication. Not just to the development techies but to all stake holders. By using agile (and continuously improving) methods, the team cohesion and effectiveness grows. The team starts having more fun and their capacity  increases; the project begins to thrive. Everyone understands they can help shape the team. Communication is crisp and proactive.

Putting the team’s interest ahead of your own may seem selfless and idealistic but it can yield better results for the individual than if they went it alone. When you measure your worth by the success of your team, you can gain greater satisfaction because you not only helped built a great product, you helped build a great team. The side effects of this paradigm are long lasting and very powerful for organizations.
